What responsibilities will I have as an employer?

Live in caregivers have the same rights and responsibilities as any other Canadian Employee.  As an Employer you will be responsible to remit pay roll taxes (EI, CPP, WCB), in addition to the nanny net wage, comply with the labor regulations and provide fair employment conditions. You will be responsible for keeping pay roll records and provide your nanny with Pay Slip and the Record of Employment (ROE) when the time comes.
